Monotone and Minimalist Design

You need content and concept in making a design. As to remember, there are 5 principles in making a layout; white space, alignment, contrast, proximity, and repetition.

In my take on making my own design, I chose to do a simple and minimalist design. I used a monochromatic color created by mixing various shades of black, gray, and white. Grayscale is my go-to color in making a layout or design.

Why does everyone feel that simple is more beautiful? A simple design is more accessible and easy to process visually. It can create appeal for the largest amount of people.

When it comes to typography, logo, color scheme, layout, etc., it communicates subtle information about your brand. It is then about communicating as much brand information as you can by using as few elements as possible.

Less is more but remember that you have to be strategic. You cannot just put important information you want for the sake of white space. You must consider what information your users need and how to present it with the least amount of space.

By now, you’re probably thinking that simple is a great concept and all, but by optimizing your own design and individual elements, you could also enjoy impressive results as well.
